By Dana Miller Join us for our final accountability meeting of the 2017/2018 school year on May 8th at 5:30 PM. Please join us for our final accountability meeting of the 2017/2018 school year. We will be covering a lot of important school business. We hope you have had the opportunity to experience some of the speakers we have had the honor of welcoming into D’Evelyn. Our speakers have covered a wide variety of topics in our effort to fill your toolbox with valuable tools and skill sets. In November, Officer Everhart provided his eye opening session on Internet Safety. In December, Andrea Philleo, LSW, reached out to parents of girls and provided information to help relate to your adolescent daughter. In March, Erin O’Neill gave us insight into the college financial planning process (presentation available online here). Finally, this past month, Colin Terry the Associate Dean of Students at the Colorado School of Mines, provided an extremely entertaining and eye opening presentation on Smartphone Addiction (presentation available online here). If you have a topic you would like to learn more about or know of a speaker who may be a good addition for the next school year, please contact Dana at [email protected]. Lastly, if you are interested in getting involved with the accountability committee, we are looking for one member for the 2018/2019 school year. Please attend our last meeting on May 8th at 5:30 PM in the library and introduce yourself to any of the committee members. We would love to have another parent involved. The accountability committee wishes you a safe summer! |
