The Board of Directors established the Quarter Century, Quarter Million campaign to ensure that our excellent programs will continue to be strong for many years to come. Fifty percent of all proceeds raised will be dedicated to a full renovation of the D’Evelyn Main Gymnasium, and 50% will be dedicated to the annual DEF budget, which supports D’Evelyn students in the classroom, as athletes, performers, and citizens throughout the course of the school year.
50% - The D’Evelyn Main Gymnasium is the central hub for our school - not just for athletics but also for pep rallies and parent meetings. This renovation represents an investment in our students now and in the future. Improvements would occur over the summer; the newly renovated gym would be ready for use at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. We’ll learn more about these exciting renovations in the coming weeks.
50% - The D’Evelyn Education Foundation (DEF) provides annual support to D’Evelyn academics, athletics, performing arts and scholarships to preserve our strong D’Evelyn tradition. This financial support increases opportunities available to our D’Evelyn Student community and decreases the fees parents do pay for students to participate in activities. Foundation funding further reduces program-specific fundraising requirements by our students. Some highlights of the funding the foundation provides are as follows:
We’ve already raised over $10,000 at the D’Evelyn Dash last month that is dedicated to the Quarter Century, Quarter Million campaign. We will continue fundraising through the Annual D’Evelyn Dinner Auction Cheers to 25 Years on November 9 and the Annual Giving Campaign. Additionally, plans are underway to expand our reach with the 1st Annual D’Evelyn Education Foundation golf tournament in the late spring or early summer of 2019.

The annual Senior Banquet, held on May 16, 2018, at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel, was a very special event for all D’Evelyn seniors. After all, D’Evelyn students can only attend one senior banquet in their lifetime and bask in the glow of their achievements over the last 4/6 years. As everyone knows, graduating from D’Evelyn is a significant achievement! Allow me to summarize below the 23 senior scholarships/award presentations (worth almost $21,000!) made that night, not only to honor our graduated seniors, but also to recognize two D’Evelyn teachers who each claimed prestigious awards.
Grand Total: $20,850!
Two D'Evelyn teachers were presented with cash awards at this year's Senior Banquet:
Please take a moment to congratulate the parents (some of whom are still at D’Evelyn) of the above scholarship/award winners the next time you see them as well as the two faculty members whose names can also be found engraved on two special plaques in the school’s front lobby.
