Written by: Ralph K. Spencer, D’Evelyn Education Foundation Board of Directors As promised in last Sunday’s article, I am going to recap my earlier six articles this week, including only that information I believe is critical for parents and senior students to be aware of as the latter take the plunge and, for the first time in their young lives, apply for one or more of the D’Evelyn Education Foundation’s 24 scholarships worth $23,750. As a reminder, three seniors will also receive three awards worth $3,500 (a total of $27,250), the catch being that seniors cannot apply for these awards (see my 2/21/21 article for a full explanation of these awards). I will use bullets to keep the verbiage to a minimum and information to a maximum! Please keep in mind that, historically speaking, about 1 in every 1.3 students who apply for a scholarship, and three who may not have (see above), will be pleasantly surprised at the Senior Banquet! Good luck seniors - and parents! And now for the recap!!!
I hope this recap has been useful. Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. McSwain if you have and questions about how to submit your scholarship applications. As of this writing, the April 7 due date for scholarship applications is a mere 25 days away! And finally, please recall that good luck is when opportunity meets preparation, while bad luck is when lack of preparation meets reality. Good luck to all! GO JAGS!!! Comments are closed.
