They may be one of those necessary evils of academic life, but Finals don't have to be completely dreaded when you order your student a Finals Care Package. Finals Care Packages are an easy way to reward your student for hard work, give him/her something to look forward to during Finals week, and contribute to the fundraising efforts for Prom and Senior Banquet. Finals Care Packages consist of two bottled drinks (typically iced teas), and 8-10 snacks that vary each semester. Snacks are typically a balance between granola bars, fruit snacks, pretzels, popcorn, and sweet treats like licorice, mints, chocolate bars, and jolly ranchers. All bags are completely nut free. There is also an option to order a bag that in addition to being nut free, is also dairy and gluten free. Parents are invited to write a personal note of encouragement that is included in their student's bag. All bags are delivered the morning of your student's first Final directly to their classroom. If you forgot to order them in advance and want to order for Spring Finals, the price is $15. The fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to order Finals Care Packages is during Registration this summer when you pay your fees. They are listed as an Optional Fee and both semesters are sold as a single unit costing $22. All funds raised from the sale of Finals Care Packages goes toward funding for Prom and Senior Banquet. If you are interested in joining in on the fun and helping to stuff the 650+ bags that are assembled each semester, watch for an announcement a couple of weeks before Finals to sign up to volunteer. You can also find more information on the D'Evelyn Website under Support>Fundraising>Finals Care Packages. Do you have a connection to some discounted/free snacks or bottled drinks for the Final Care Packages bags? Perhaps you might work for a company that might be able to donate some of their product? If so, please contact Tara Sawinski @ [email protected] before April 20. Comments are closed.
