Attention Parents! Jefferson County Public Health and Jeffco Public Schools are working together to educate students about the risks of vaping. Ads are currently running at your school during athletic events on large electronic display boards and all schools have been provided with posters and/or flyers to put up. If you have not seen the posters in your student’s school, please contact the school counselor to inquire. Both the ads and the posters direct youth to TobaccoisNasty.com, an interactive website for teens, that includes information about the harms of vaping and other tobacco use. You can also visit https://www.tobaccofreeco.org/product-facts/vaping-ecigs/ for more information about vaping and https://www.speaknowcolorado.org/ for guidance about speaking to your student about drug use. Please contact Jen Bolcoa, Health Education Liaison with Jeffco’s Healthy Schools Program, at [email protected] or 303-982-6505 with any questions. Comments are closed.
