Written by: Jenna Spendlove, D’Evelyn Education Foundation Manager The D’Evelyn Education Foundation is proud to continue our Appreciation and Gratitude campaign. We hope you took time this past week to participate in the first challenge of NOTICE THE GOOD. If not, it’s not too late! Think in threes: Start and end each day by identifying three things you’re grateful for and try not to repeat things. Share your appreciative thoughts with friends, family, and teachers. Focus on your verbiage: try to use positive, humble, and thankful language.
We received some encouraging quotes of gratitude from members of our D’Evelyn Education Foundation and Community. Check them out! “I am thankful that D’Evelyn upholds a high standard for our children, both academically and as members of the school community. They are not only prepared academically, but develop character and self-sufficiency that will help them be successful no matter what they pursue. I am so thankful for the teachers and administrators who play such a valuable role in helping to prepare our children to attend any university in the country and not only survive but thrive.” – Art Graper, D’Evelyn Education Foundation Chairman & Parent of D’Evelyn Student “I am grateful for all the people, during the most trying of times, are still striving to provide the best possible academic environment for D'Evelyn students.” - Jothi Ravindran, D’Evelyn Education Foundation Vice-Chair & Parent of D’Evelyn Students “I’ve been a D’Evelyn parent for over six years and am currently volunteering with the Education Foundation. I’m grateful for the kindness of the students, faculty, and parents at our school. When my kids have wanted to try something new, there always seems to be classmates and teachers right there to encourage them. Middle school and high school can be so challenging. I’m comforted that our children have the support of so many talented people!” - Rick Harvey, D’Evelyn Education Foundation Co-Chair & Parent of D’Evelyn Students Please submit your quote of why you are thankful to [email protected] today!
