Outside of the school this week is a row of signs detailing numerous achievements across many disciplines, from athletic and musical championships to scholarship dollars earned. We want to recognize that D'Evelyn is home to award-winning athletes, performers and club members as well as exemplary students. Take a look at drop-off or pick-up and congratulate your students, their teachers and their coaches on their efforts and dedication to their scholastics and extracurricular activities! We look forward to seeing what amazing things our Jags do in 2023-2024! D'Evelyn Community We would like to invite you to join the private D'Evelyn Community Group on Facebook!  This group is for staff, students and families of D'Evelyn Jr/Sr High School.  Alumni and upcoming students/staff are welcome too!  This group is not affiliated or supported in any way from the Jefferson County District or D’Evelyn Jr/Sr High School. High School Cross Country teams from throughout the state will be running on the same course that we will use for the D’Evelyn Dash that will be on Saturday, August 26th. The first race will start at 3:30 pm and the final race should be done around 5:30 pm. Due to the High School Cross Country Meet being on campus, parking and traffic will be greatly impacted after school that day. Please pick up your students as quickly as possible after school. Here are a few points of important information for Friday: D’Evelyn will not have 7th hour on Friday, August 25th. We will dismiss students after the completion of 6th hour at 2:15 pm. We ask that students be picked up promptly after school because race participants and spectators will be arriving on campus around 2:45 pm. The West Parking lot will be closed to non-race traffic after 3:00 pm. To ensure the safety of the runners, cars will not be able to enter or leave the West Parking lot between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm. The East Parking lot will be the easiest to use throughout the afternoon and evening. We encourage you to use this lot for after school activities. The West Parking lot will be packed with race participants and spectators. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we are excited to host the 23rd Annual D’Evelyn DASH Cross Country meet. This will be a wonderful opportunity to have high schools from throughout the state come together and see what an amazing community we have at D'Evelyn. By Natalie Hart   BIB PICKUP: August 23rd from 2:25PM - 4:00PM in front of the school. We invite you to bring your family, friends and neighbors to the D’Evelyn DASH on Saturday, August 26th, for a 5K or 2K run/walk event! The route covers 3.1 or 1.2 miles of paths in the gently rolling open space west of the school. There will be the Senior Parade, games, activities, food, & live entertainment! Organized by the D’Evelyn Education Foundation, the DASH is a key fundraiser that provides support for scholarships, sports, academics, and activities throughout the year. The D’Evelyn Education Foundation (DEF) is a non-profit 501c3 fundraising organization, providing financial support for academic, social and extracurricular programming throughout the school. We host 4 fundraisers a year that help fund scholarships, text books, teacher development, athletic and performing arts needs and school events such as After Prom, Junior High Socials, Teacher Appreciation Week, the School Store and more! —your volunteer time and donations make these events happen! If you are an alumni or know one, save the date for next June! More information about next year's event coming in the spring. Special Thank you to Alumni Ned Hamilition and Jeff Pilkington for making it happen! Summer Fun! Jags were busy this summer enjoying their break!  Take a look at what amazing experiences some of our Dazzling Jags took part in! Charlotte (left, 8th) and Everly (right, 6th) Collard visited Maine, Quebec City, and Boston! (Ramona, center, in the stripes is not yet a Jag; 5th grade at Ralston Elem).   Addison C. traveled to Boise, ID to compete at the Western Zone Age Group Swimming Championships with Team Colorado.  Sophia B. (9th) and Nicolas B.
