The D’Evelyn Junior High Boosters held its Winter Social to celebrate Winter Sports Spirit Week on Friday, February 1st. It was lots of fun! There were numerous D’Evelyn teachers and staff who joined the party. You may view short videos of the fun (video1, video 2, video 3). Thank you to the over 140 students who participated in an afternoon of games, food and dancing. Many thanks to those generous parents who donated their time, money and contributed food.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS – our next event is Friday, April 26 at JumpStreet in Littleton. Additional information will be sent out soon.
The Jr. High Boosters Club was created to help build a sense of community amongst our Junior High Students. Each year, several events are held to achieve that mission. Your participation would be truly appreciated to ensure the success of these occasions and to guarantee an awesome year for our students.

Do you like Starbucks…what about FREE Starbucks??
If so, submit your best D’Evelyn DASH T-shirt design for the upcoming 2019 DASH. Simple is better, we can’t include too much detail on the t-shirts. If your design is picked, you will win a $50 Starbucks gift card. Designs must be submitted to the front office by February 28th. Please note, if your design is chosen, it may be edited/cropped to fit the parameters needed by our graphic designer.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Inaugural D’Evelyn Alumni & Community Golf Tournament sponsored by the D’Evelyn Education Foundation at Arrowhead Golf Club. It is with great enthusiasm that we cordially invite the 2,600+ D’Evelyn Alumni and all other members of our proud community to participate in the first D’Evelyn Education Foundation golf fundraiser. This is a great chance to reconnect with D’Evelyn friends and families established since our school was founded 25 years ago and build new relationships with others in our community.
This year’s special appeal by the Board of Directors for the D’Evelyn Education Foundation is to raise $250,000 for a full renovation of our Main Gymnasium. Our gym is in need of this renovation given every D’Evelyn family member utilizes the gym as the main hub for school events, activities, sporting events, dances, and community events. All proceeds from this event will go towards enhancing the renovation and uphold the pride we have in our school.
Online registration will be open soon! Reservations are expected to fill fast so register ASAP in order to guarantee your spot in the tournament! Please see the tournament website at https://develyngolftournament.weebly.com/ for more details and information. Contact D’Evelyn Alumni and Assistant Principal Dan Wille with specific inquiries: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Dash will take place on August 24th, 2019!
However, most of the work takes place in the spring and the
Dash Committee could use your help!
We are needing help with the following positions:
Co-Chair for Student Booths:
We are looking for someone to shadow our current Student Booth Coordinator, Allison Sapuppo. This job involves sending out info packets to all student clubs and athletic groups asking them to host a booth at the Dash, keeping track of which groups want booths and then following up with their needs in the fall. Again, all documentation is in google drive and Allison will be there to show you how everything is done. This job requires minimal computer hours in the spring and then again just before the Dash.
Not sure where you want to help or maybe you can take on pieces of things but not the whole thing? Email us at email@example.com. We can use your help in any way and would love to work with you!
Help Your Student Look Forward to Finals: Order a Finals Care Package!
They may be one of those necessary evils of academic life, but Finals don't have to be completely dreaded when you order your student a Finals Care Package. Finals Care Packages are an easy way to reward your student for hard work, give him/her something to look forward to during Finals week, and contribute to the fundraising efforts for Prom and Senior Banquet.
Finals Care Packages consist of two bottled drinks (typically iced teas), and 8-10 snacks that vary each semester. Snacks are typically a balance between granola bars, fruit snacks, pretzels, popcorn, and sweet treats like licorice, mints, chocolate bars, and jolly ranchers. All bags are completely nut free. There is also an option to order a bag that in addition to being nut free, is also dairy and gluten free.
Parents are also invited to write a Personal Note of Encouragement that is included in their student's bag. This form can be found on the D'Evelyn Website under Families>Finals Care Packages (form is attached at the bottom of the FAQ's) and must be submitted to the front office no later than December 7. All bags are delivered the morning of your student's first Final directly to their classroom.
If you forgot to order them in advance and want to order for Winter Finals, the price is $15. If you want to order for both Winter and Spring, the price is $22. The fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to order Finals Care Packages is during Registration in the summer or right now by going to the Jeffco Fees website. The Finals Care Packages are listed as an Optional Fee and both semesters are sold as a single unit costing $22. All funds raised from the sale of Finals Care Packages goes toward funding for Prom and Senior Banquet.
If you are interested in joining in on the fun and helping to stuff the 650+ bags that are assembled each semester, watch for an announcement a couple of weeks before Finals to sign up to volunteer. You can also find more information on the D'Evelyn Website under Families>Finals Care Packages.
Do you have a connection to some discounted/free snacks or bottled drinks for the Final Care Packages bags? Perhaps you might work for a company that might be able to donate some of their product? If so, please contact Tara Sawinski @ firstname.lastname@example.org
before November 30th 2018.
Thank you to the over 250 people who helped us to celebrate 25 Years of Academic Excellence Friday evening!
Our D’Evelyn Choir provided entertainment and there were many different ways to support our school: The Auction committee sold beautiful Spirale Wine Glasses, Boys and Girls Soccer held a wine pull, the DEF Board distributed some high value re-loadable DEF King Soopers Cards, and we held some fun drawings in addition to the silent and live auctions.
Financially, we also have reason to celebrate! After expenses, Friday evening we raised more than $70,000. Half (~$35,000) will be dedicated to the gym renovation project, and half (~$35,000) to the DEF general fund, that is used to support academics, the arts, athletics and scholarships for D’Evelyn students annually.
Since the paddle raise generated over $30,000, the Foundation has agreed to grant $30,000 from reserve funds to the Gymnasium Renovation project.
Thank you again to all our sponsors, our numerous dedicated volunteers and item donors who made this evening an event to remember.
