Help Your Student Look Forward to Finals: Order a Finals Care Package!
They may be one of those necessary evils of academic life, but Finals don't have to be completely dreaded when you order your student a Finals Care Package. Finals Care Packages are an easy way to reward your student for hard work, give him/her something to look forward to during Finals week, and contribute to the fundraising efforts for Prom and Senior Banquet.
Finals Care Packages consist of two bottled drinks (typically iced teas), and 8-10 snacks that vary each semester. Snacks are typically a balance between granola bars, fruit snacks, pretzels, popcorn, and sweet treats like licorice, mints, chocolate bars, and jolly ranchers. All bags are completely nut free. There is also an option to order a bag that in addition to being nut free, is also dairy and gluten free.
Parents are also invited to write a Personal Note of Encouragement that is included in their student's bag. This form can be found on the D'Evelyn Website under Families>Finals Care Packages (form is attached at the bottom of the FAQ's) and must be submitted to the front office no later than December 7. All bags are delivered the morning of your student's first Final directly to their classroom.
If you forgot to order them in advance and want to order for Winter Finals, the price is $15. If you want to order for both Winter and Spring, the price is $22. The fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to order Finals Care Packages is during Registration in the summer or right now by going to the Jeffco Fees website. The Finals Care Packages are listed as an Optional Fee and both semesters are sold as a single unit costing $22. All funds raised from the sale of Finals Care Packages goes toward funding for Prom and Senior Banquet.
If you are interested in joining in on the fun and helping to stuff the 650+ bags that are assembled each semester, watch for an announcement a couple of weeks before Finals to sign up to volunteer. You can also find more information on the D'Evelyn Website under Families>Finals Care Packages.
Do you have a connection to some discounted/free snacks or bottled drinks for the Final Care Packages bags? Perhaps you might work for a company that might be able to donate some of their product? If so, please contact Tara Sawinski @ firstname.lastname@example.org
before November 30th 2018.
Thank you to the over 250 people who helped us to celebrate 25 Years of Academic Excellence Friday evening!
Our D’Evelyn Choir provided entertainment and there were many different ways to support our school: The Auction committee sold beautiful Spirale Wine Glasses, Boys and Girls Soccer held a wine pull, the DEF Board distributed some high value re-loadable DEF King Soopers Cards, and we held some fun drawings in addition to the silent and live auctions.
Financially, we also have reason to celebrate! After expenses, Friday evening we raised more than $70,000. Half (~$35,000) will be dedicated to the gym renovation project, and half (~$35,000) to the DEF general fund, that is used to support academics, the arts, athletics and scholarships for D’Evelyn students annually.
Since the paddle raise generated over $30,000, the Foundation has agreed to grant $30,000 from reserve funds to the Gymnasium Renovation project.
Thank you again to all our sponsors, our numerous dedicated volunteers and item donors who made this evening an event to remember.

Congratulations to our D’Evelyn Robotics team for winning an award for their Engineering Notebook on October 20th at Englewood High School. The team overcame a very challenging course to score the highest of any team in one round and placed 9th overall out of the 18 teams that participated.
We are very proud of their efforts and resiliency!
