By Shiloh Miller, NHS Vice President Hello parents! Did you know that YOU can save up to 3 lives by donating blood? National Honor Society at D’Evelyn is organizing a blood drive on April 2nd, which is the Tuesday after students return from Spring Break. We are looking for huge community involvement this year and we would love it if you could donate to this great cause. The blood drive goes from 9 am to 1 pm at D’Evelyn High School. During the week of March 18th – 22nd, NHS will have a signup sheet at lunch for students. The sign-up sheet will also be left in Sonya Sotolongo’s (our financial secretary) office before and after school. Parents can sign up by 1) having their student sign up a slot for them at lunch 2) coming into the school during the day and signing the sheet in the financial office or 3) emailing Shiloh Miller ([email protected]) to request a time slot. There are several requirements to meet in order to donate to the blood drive, but we will help you get prepared when you sign up. We would greatly appreciate it if you would donate to our blood drive and help save lives! If you personally cannot donate, please encourage your family members, friends and other community members to donate. We are extremely excited to organize this amazing opportunity to give back and help others. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! You can contact me directly at shi10hmiller@msn. Thank you! |
