The holidays can provide increased time for family, friends, self, and reflection. It can be a time of rest and relaxation. It can be a time of connection and caring for self and others in ways that we have less time for at other times throughout the year. This time of year can also be a time of increased stress and struggle. It can bring added pressures and expectations and difficult memories. There is no singular way to experience this season, but we want everyone to have resources at their fingertips, if needed and helpful. Jefferson County Public Schools provides tons of resources for us on their Jeffco Mental Health and Wellness Hub. Here we can find information about the Jeffco Health and Wellness Seminar Series, mental health resources, information about suicide prevention, community resources, and more. There is a virtual calm room full of tools that we can use to manage emotions and find help in regulating. There is also a fun generosity challenge for us there.
