April Social Emotional Corner
Our April challenge promises to possibly be our most fun yet... this month we challenge ourselves to laugh more! There is a mounting body of evidence that laughter really is the best medicine. We know inherently how good it feels to laugh, and the data tells us we are right. There are short term and long-term benefits of laughter. Laughter has been shown to stimulate circulation, soothe tension, relieve pain, improve immunity, and increase personal satisfaction. So, let’s find ways to increase our laughter this month! Most of us know what makes us giggle and what brings on the belly laugh, but we often aren’t intentional about increasing the laughter in our daily lives (while increasing the laughter of those around us). Our challenge this month is to create that intention. If you need a little help getting started, consider some of the following:
