D’Evelyn is hosting an Athletics and Activities Fair for all students to ask questions and learn about sports teams, music, theater, and clubs that happen at D’Evelyn. Students can also meet coaches, sponsors and participants.

To be selected for this prestigious award, athletes must be academically eligible every week and make significant contributions to their teams, in the eyes of their coaches. The female Student Athlete for May is Gina Gersabeck Positive attitude, commitment, hard work, and talent . . . are traits that describe a student-athlete. In her first year in Track & Field, Gina Gersabeck exhibits these qualities not only in the classroom but also on the track. She is an incredibly versatile athlete, proving in a short time, to be our best hurdler and jumper while also consistently being pulled to run relays. She’s a phenomenal new addition to the DHS T&F team! Congratulations Gina! Gina was nominated by Coach Lisa Bell. The male Student Athlete for May is Colin Kim Colin Kim is having a remarkable baseball season. Colin is leading his team in almost all offensive categories. He is leading in batting average with a .528, 19 total hits, 14 runs scored, 10 Rbi's, 5 doubles, and 3 Home Runs. What a great start to the season. Colin not only strives for excellence on the field but in the classroom. Every day he strives to be the best he can be. As a junior, he has already verbally committed to The School of Mines. Congratulations to the D'Evelyn Varsity Girls' tennis team who last weekend won the Colorado Academy Varsity Invitational Tennis Tournament! This tournament was a round-robin format. Teams in the tournament were: Colorado Academy, Holy Family, Pueblo West, Evergreen, and D'Evelyn. D’Evelyn dominated and only lost 2 matches all weekend, and both of those were in tie-breakers. Our Jaguars won first place as a team. Here are the results for each position: Grace Li (Singles 1) - 2nd Place Evelyn Otter (Singles 2) - 1st Place Sofia Cieslewicz (Singles 3) - 1st Place Maria Christoffersen and Anna Day (Doubles 1) - 1st Place Maisy Schoeman and Cheranne Wang (Doubles 2) - 1st Place Karina Li and Sarah Cook (Doubles 3) - 2nd Place Kate Davis and Mariah Dean (Doubles 4) - 1st Place The girls are undefeated as a team so far this season! They are off to Colorado Springs on Saturday, 4/16, to compete against the toughest 4A teams in the Cheyenne Mountain Tournament. Good luck ladies!
