By Mr. McWhorter , Assistant Principal As we start the 2018-19 School Year and Fall Sports, I would like to take some time to introduce you all to our Head Coaches: Mr. Jeremy Bennett is the Jaguar Head Football Coach and has been in that position here at DHS for the last 13 years. Coach Bennett has 23 years of High School and Professional Football experience, including 3 years as the Head Coach of the Denver Titans, 3 years as an Defensive Coordinator at Standley Lake High School, and 3 years as the Defensive Coordinator at Jefferson High School. Jeremy also has 2 years of experience as an Area Scout for the Arena Football League. Jeremy’s playing career included playing Middle Linebacker at Western State Colorado University. Jeremy is a 4th degree black belt in Judo and is married to D’Evelyn Jr/Sr High School Physical Education Teacher and former Head Volleyball Coach Valerie Battaglia-Bennett. Jeremy and Valerie have 3 children, all attend Dennison Elementary. Jeremy also has two older sons, both are helping with the Jaguar Football Program. Coach Bennett is a very passionate coach and person in general and while he has an impressive 91 victories, 9 playoff appearances and has sent an impressive 41 student/athletes from D’Evelyn High School on to college to compete in football, he would be the first one to tell you that his biggest accomplishment over those last 13 years is developing a culture of community and brotherhood, as well as teaching his student/athletes to be great young men.
