Written by: Tim Schmeckpeper, Assistant Principal We will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences remotely via Zoom Meetings again this semester. Conferences will take place on February 11th, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm (certain teachers will have a modified schedule from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and on February 12th from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. You will receive another communication on Wednesday, February 3rd, with links to the individual teacher’s Sign-up Genius page. The Sign-up Genius will ask you to sign-up for a conference time slot on one of the two dates. Following your sign-up, you will receive a confirmation email that contains a link to the teacher's Zoom Meeting. You will also receive a reminder email, one day prior to your conference, that also contains a link to the meeting. Additionally, you may access the meeting by clicking on the camera icon on the sign-up page. There are a limited number of conference time slots. We encourage parents with students who have class grades at or below C-, or other circumstances where the student is struggling, to sign up immediately before the spots fill up. The standard conference is scheduled for 5 minutes. If you need additional time, or if all available slots have been filled, please contact your teacher directly by email. Next Wednesday’s communication will also contain links to individual teacher’s emails. Written by: Lisa Bell, Teacher Librarian Date: Friday, January 29th, 2021

Last semester D’Evelyn administration began communicating directly with students through their Jeffco student emails. Through this method of communication we are providing students with important school updates, announcements, opportunities, and general messages of encouragement and thanks. Many of the communications are similar to what is published in Jag Tracks and what is sent through the school messaging system to parents. However, we want to build a strong bridge of communication directly with students as well. Please encourage your student/s to regularly check their Jeffco email with follows the following format: studentID#@jeffcoschools.us. For example, a student with the student ID number 1234567 will have a Jeffco email of [email protected]. We will continue to use this as a form of direct communication throughout remote, hybrid, and in-person learning. Thank you for helping us build strong communications with our students, and we look forward to a great second semester. Written by Lisa Bell, Teacher Librarian We are currently offering "take-out" service for library books! Any books put on hold Monday - Thursday will be pulled and ready for pick up on Fridays between 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM by ringing the doorbell at the front of the school and letting the office know you have books to pick up! Written by: Greg Kottcamp, Assistant Principal During this time of year, we ask families to declare their intentions for the following school year using the Enroll Jeffco website. Jefferson County School District uses this information to help schools determine their enrollment numbers and staffing. Your default selection is to remain at D’Evelyn. If you are interested in applying to other schools for the 2021-2022 school year, you need to visit Enroll Jeffco to complete the process. Your best chance of getting into another school would be to complete the process during Round 1, which closes January 15th. We want all students to be successful in their educational endeavours. We hope students can find that success here at D’Evelyn, but we understand that D’Evelyn isn’t the best fit for all students. If you have questions about the Enroll Jeffco process, call the Enroll Jeffco support line at 303-982-2372 or visit: enrolljeffco.org |
