Due to school building closures and current stay-at-home directives, College Board cancelled all SAT administrations through at least July, 2020. Understanding the importance of the SAT and how it impacts college admissions, Colorado will schedule a SAT test day next fall. In anticipation of being able to return to school in August, D’Evelyn will administer the SAT to the Class of 2021 in accordance with the state testing day. The date for the state testing day is still to be determined. We will communicate more information as it becomes available. In addition to the Colorado SAT test date, College Board will offer weekend test administrations each month starting in August through December, 2020. We encourage D’Evelyn students/families to consider signing up for one or more of the SAT days that will be scheduled between August and December as they deem appropriate. Written by: Dan Wille, Assistant Principal Last week, the D’Evelyn administration distributed a survey to students and parents with the intention of gathering feedback in regards to the online learning experience. We are grateful for every response, both positive and constructive. Thank you to all those who participated in this important reflection process! D’Evelyn administration, teachers, counselors, and all staff remain dedicated to making online learning as positive an experience as possible for all students. We’ve thoughtfully considered all the survey data and will reflect on how to best use the data to grow. We specifically intend on focusing on the following goals identified from both student and parent feedback:
We appreciate the caring, patience, and understanding demonstrated by the D’Evelyn community as we navigate uncharted waters. If you or your student is in need of support, please do not hesitate to contact your student’s teachers, counselor or administrator. At the start of every school year, we ask parents to ensure they have accurate contact information in Jeffco Connect. These phone numbers and emails are critical for times like these when teachers, counselors, and administrators need to be able to get a hold of parents and students to work as a team to improve the learning outcomes for our students.
