Submitted by Dan Wille, Assistant Principal As a result of school building closures, AP exams will NOT be offered face-to-face. Rather, the exams will be online for students to access remotely from home. D’Evelyn and College Board are committed to provide free, remote learning resources for the new at-home testing this year's AP Exams. We'll continue to provide updates in the weeks leading up to the exams. A great resource for learning about this year's AP Exams can be found on College Board’s Update for AP Students Affected by COVID-19 website. Exam Dates
AP Teachers will inform and remind students about exam dates for their courses. Exam Format
Tips for testing on specific devices will be available in late April. Confronting the Digital Divide We recognize that the digital divide could prevent some low-income and rural students from participating. If your students need mobile tools or connectivity, you can contact College Board directly to let us them know by April 24. Exam Security Like many college-level exams, this year's AP Exams will be open book/open note. The exam format and questions are being designed specifically for an at-home administration, so points will not be earned from content that can be found in textbooks or online. However, students taking the exams may not consult with any other individuals during the testing period. For the small number of students who may try to gain an unfair advantage, there are comprehensive and strict protocols in place to prevent and detect cheating. To learn more please see our security measures. Test takers should understand that those attempting to gain an unfair advantage will have consequences from College Board and potentially the school. Remote Instruction and Practice On March 25, College Board began offering free live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country. On-demand lessons are now available for Art and Design, AP Capstone™, and Computer Science Principles. Please contact your AP teacher or Assistant Principal Dan Wille ([email protected]) with any questions. Comments are closed.
