Written by: Greg Kottcamp, Assistant Principal My child continues to miss 7th Hour, because they don’t know which class to attend. How can we know where my child should go for 7th hour? (The following information can also be found on the D’Evelyn homepage under “Bell Schedule”.
What is my student supposed to do on Fridays?
While Fridays are remote learning days for all students, students are expected to follow each of their teachers’ instructions for attendance and/or tasks to be completed. If you are uncertain about what needs to be completed and by when, please contact that teacher and ask for clarification. Generally, students will go to each teachers’ Google Classroom to see instructions on what needs to be completed and when. We have had many students trying to submit attendance or work after teacher deadlines, and then asking teachers to correct their attendance. If a student doesn’t meet the expectations by the deadline they will be marked absent. Each department also has office hours for students to get individual help. We encourage students to let their teachers know ahead of time, that they will be stopping by during office hours, but impromptu visits are also welcomed. Here are the department office hours for Grade 7-12: 8:00 - 9:00 AM - Math (Remote students take their math quizzes during 9-10) 9:00 - 10:00 AM - World Languages (Remote student take their language quizzes during 8-9) 10:00 - 11:00 AM - History 11:00 - Noon - Electives Noon - 1:00 - English 1:00 - 2:00 - Science 2:00 - 3:00 - Counseling (Counseling also has an 11:00 - Noon availability) 6th Grade Students in sixth grade are to check teachers’ Google Classroom for instructions on what needs to be completed and when. Students can do math make-up work from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, and their teachers are available for office hours from 10:00-11:00. Comments are closed.
