Written by: Ashley Jetton, RN, BSN District Registered Nurse Hello D’Evelyn Jaguars, from your school nurse! I wanted to give a quick reminder for those parents of students on the hybrid schedule, so that you and your student are prepared for in-person learning. Each person who enters the building will be required to wear a mask. Masks must fit well and have no holes in them. Jeffco is not allowing bandanas (Figure 1) and/or the masks with the big circle filter in them. Gators are acceptable at this point, but that is subject to change, so I would avoid buying any. Masks must also completely cover the mouth and nose. In addition to wearing a mask to school, everyone will also be screened upon entry. They will have their temperature taken and asked if they have a cough, sore throat, or runny nose. IF THEY HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS, THEY HAVE TO GO BACK HOME. It would help all of us if you can briefly screen your student before they leave each day. If your student has allergies, be sure they have taken allergy medicine because we have no way of knowing if their symptoms are from allergies or Covid, and they will be sent home. This school year looks a lot different than any other year. With your help and support, in addition to the many mitigation strategies Jeffco has put in place, we look forward to a successful return to in person learning. Comments are closed.
