Written by: Greg Kottcamp, Assistant Principal The Jaguar Tracks Newsletter is one of the main ways in which we communicate with the D’Evelyn Community. We have been working hard to add new content to each weekly edition so that parents and students can stay informed on upcoming events, student scholars and athletes of the month, current issues in and around the school, updates from Steering and Accountability, and so much more. In order to increase the amount of D’Evelyn families that receive the Jaguar Tracks Newsletter, we will soon be making a change in how we distribute the link to the newsletter. In the past, the D’Evelyn Education Foundation (DEF) asked parents to create membership toolkit accounts to share their contact information - so that DEF could use the information in an Online Directory, as well as for sending out the Jaguar Tracks Newsletter. We will now be sending an email that contains the newsletter link, using D’Evelyn’s School Messenger system. Using School Messenger allows us to reach all D’Evelyn families, and hopefully help the community to feel more informed and connected. What does this mean for D’Evelyn Families? The email message that appears when we notify you of a new Jaguar Tracks Edition will look slightly different, but once you click on the link and are connected to our Weebly Site everything will look the same. If you haven’t been getting fairly regular email updates from the school during this Remote Learning period, your contact information may be out-of-date or you may have blocked the school’s emails from your email account. You can update your contact information by going to the Jeffco Connect site. You can unblock D’Evelyn’s emails by sending a request to [email protected]. What is happening to Membership Toolkit and the D’Evelyn Online Directory? We will be discontinuing our use of the Membership Toolkit site on June 1st. If you shared your family’s contact information on the site for the purpose of the directory, you will still be able to access the online directory until June 1, 2020. Comments are closed.
