By: Eric McCaslin-Hahn, Assistant Principal, Athletics and Activities Director Congratulations to the Scholar of the Month winners for the month of March. They were chosen by the World Language Department. Jonathan Baker - 8th grade Jonathan Baker is an amazing young man. The first hour is not easy on anyone but Jonathan is always ready to do what it takes to learn and be successful. He always comes with his book, notebook, and pen, and even with a smile. Even when it's hard Jonathan is not afraid to participate. He is an example to our class and I'm proud of him.” -Mr. Sabre, French Teacher Emery Nguyen - 8th grade Emery is a fantastic student. She loves to think, and she's always happy to share what she's thinking, whether with the whole class or with teammates in collaborative work. She has very high expectations of herself and asks excellent questions that make clear her deep and nuanced understanding of tough concepts. Emery's drive to succeed and excel is impressive. Perhaps more importantly, it never gets in the way of her ability to enjoy herself and to be a good classmate and friend. She comes to class each day with a smile and an open mind, ready to tackle with enthusiasm whatever is thrown at her. -Ms. Bowman, Latin Teacher Yanjin Lin - 9th grade Yanjin’s dedication to academic excellence is truly remarkable. I've never had a student show more commitment toward accuracy in learning the Spanish language than Yanjin does. She reaches out to me regularly to ask for clarification on homework and written assessments outside of school, and this level of effort amazes me. She is a kind and respectful person, and I can count on her to be on-task and engaged during class. I'm grateful for her hard work and determination to succeed. -Ms. Mozingo, Spanish Teacher Carson Stephens - 9th grade Carson Stephens is a fantastic Spanish 2 student who always gives his best. His calm and steady nature helps him excel and tackle difficult concepts in grammar. I thoroughly enjoy having him in class and appreciate his respectful and hardworking demeanor. Keep up the good work! -Mrs. Bender, Spanish Teacher Comments are closed.
