By: Eric McCaslin-Hahn, Assistant Principal and Activities Director Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! As we welcome back full in-person learning for our community, it is important to review the Safety and Security measures that keep D’Evelyn safe. We want to ensure the safety of our students, staff and visitors at all times. Jeffco has created a Standard Response Protocol to ensure that schools are ready to handle any emergency situation that may occur. Please look over the Standard Response Protocol chart below and review it with your child. At D’Evelyn, like every Jeffco School, Fire Drills are practiced monthly, a Lockdown Drill will be held during the 1st semester, and either an Evacuation Drill or Shelter Drill will be completed during the 2nd semester. We expect all students, faculty, and staff to take drills seriously and learn from them to best prepare in the event of a real emergency. We appreciate the support of families with emergency management and preparation as we go through the year. One of the great resources that we have for our community is Safe 2 Tell. This resource provides school communities with a place to anonymously report anything that concerns or threatens you, your friends, your family or your community. Bullying, threatening to harm others or concerns of suicide are a few examples of reports that are made to Safe 2 Tell. You can submit a tip online at https://safe2tell.org/ or call 1-877-542-7233. Communication is important at D’Evelyn, we want to make sure that you are able to reach the right person to help you with what you need. Here is a breakdown of how Administration and Counselors have split up the student body this year:
